Itinerary
Day 1
- Include: Lunch, Dinner
- Sandakan/Turtle Island Enjoy a smooth hotel pick-up and a one-hour boat ride to Selingan Turtle Island. After a tasty lunch, snorkel in clear waters full of marine life or relax on the beach. Before dinner, watch a slideshow about the turtle park. Later, follow the Park Ranger to see a mother turtle laying eggs and the release of hatchlings. Spend the night comfortably at the cozy Selingan Island Chalet.
Day 2
- Include: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
- Turtle Island/Sepilok Orang Utan/Sun Bear/Kinabatangan River Wake up at 6:00 AM and enjoy breakfast at 6:30 AM. By 7:00 AM, leave the island for the mainland. Visit the Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre and the Sun Bear Conservation Centre. After lunch at SJR, head to Bilit, arriving around 2:30 PM. Enjoy afternoon tea at 3:30 PM, then take a wildlife cruise on the Kinabatangan River at 4:00 PM. Finish with dinner and a restful night at Bilit Adventure Lodge.
Day 3
- Include: Breakfast, Lunch
- Kinabatangan River/Morning Cruise/ Sandakan City/Airport Wake up for a river cruise at 6:00 AM. After an hour, return to Bilit Lodge for breakfast. By 8:30 AM, head to Sandakan for lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy a city tour, visiting Sandakan Memorial Park, Puu Jih Shih Temple, and St. Michael’s Church. Explore the Central Market, then visit the Agnes Keith Museum. End at the English Tea House for a nice view before transferring back to your hotel or the airport.
